    Was actually Halloween/Samhain.
"If some jive turkey all dressed in red comes down my chimney in the middle of the night...He'd better be Santa, or I will be all over him like a rats nest on a nast knuckle!!

Ugly Joe turns his calendar a quarter turn counter clockwise and stares at it in thought...

So...if new year is then, that means that Halloween is....over there?
And where does that put Talk Like a Pirate Day?

    Oh man...so much to learn...
Have a holly jolly @#$%ing Christmas...

How about "talk like a chipmunk on helium day?"
People really act weird at Christmas time. After all, what other time of year do you sit in front of a dead tree in the living room and eat nuts and sweets out of your socks?

Halloween was Celtic New Year only in the sense that that crop year had ended and the new one was about to begin.

Samhain is coming and my Scots-Irish soul is beginning to stir...unfortunately tempered by the Methodism instilled in me by my lovely and beautiful wife.

So create a display with good versus evil.

With some of the problems we're having with the mother church lately, I'm not sure which is which.

LOL Yeah. Sometimes everyone get wrapped up in the side issues or "hot buttons," and forgets what the central essence of God is all about.
