  • Christmas Poetry Competition

This week, we at High Calibre Poetry challenge you to create a Christmas poem that will stand out amongst the crowd! Be as original and creative as you can!

Enter by replying to this thread or use the form at before Friday 20th December 2013. On Saturday 21st December 2013, we will message you back with our three favourite entries. Then it will be up to YOU to decide which poem deserves to be our Christmas Weekly Challenge Winner! The winner will be announced on our website on Christmas Eve!

As a special incentive, the winning poem will be available as an audio recording, read aloud by the founder of High Calibre Poetry, and the audio file will be sent to the winning poet.

We hope that you will all get involved and make this the best week for poets this year! Get writing and let's see those entries!

    Ho ho ho!!!

Here's ours to get you started:

Ho ho ho! High Calibre Poetry here, to greet you all with festive cheer
With frost on leaves and logs on fires; hats and scarves and chains on tyres
But never short on smiles and jokes, for we are all such merry blokes
Who bring to you poetic rhyme, at this, our favourite, Christmas time
