  • Do you buy projections?

Do you buy the projections that you use? I'm not sure where to find some good ones online, but I"m looking for some.

I have bought many online, both Halloween and Christmas. Try these sites. I have not tried this product yet but it looks really interesting. Check reviews online before purchasing.

You can do a Google search for "virtual christmas projection effects" and compare prices and selection from different sites.

I also make a lot of my own effects. I am not talented enough to actually create an animated video such as Virtual Santa. But I like to make window scenes that are festive and fun. It is really easy too. One example: I went online and downloaded 5 or 6 video clips of things like animated christmas balls falling from the sky, animated xmas trees, snowflakes dancing, etc. I edited them to the length I wanted and put them on a DVD. I pop it in my laptop and project it onto my window screen. Each year I make a new Happy New Year DVD with fireworks and alternating text like Welcome 2017, Happy New Year, etc.

Another idea I had last year but did not have time to finish setting up is to run a movie such as A Charlie Brown Christmas nonstop in my window and have the audio speakers in my front yard near the road. The video part was no problem but I did not get the audio set up in time. Obviously no one is going to stand there and watch the whole movie but it lends a christmas feel to the yard display.

ATMOS FX has some cool products but I like Just Whisper's idea as well.

My first link is actually to atmosfx. They are the ones that got me started using them. Darn them. They do have some very cool stuff, tc.
