well, I am a haunter, or, a obsessive halloween nut as I have been known as! Out side of the couple of months at christmas, it absorbs me. I am always planning, creating in my head, my big thing is 2 campground haunts, smaller at home, so after the camping, I started plannning next year, before halloween it's self!

I'm trying to figure out how to make a graveyard Christmasy!
Well if you're serious you could put together some hollow-bottomed presents to fit over the tombstones, and put up a tree in the middle....some nice lights around the fence - if you have one around the graveyard - and some fake snow...hey presto! - Graveyard to Xmas scene!
You could go a bit further and make something like a reindeer pen out of it instead - there are lots of ideas you can think of!

I'm tiring to convince the wife that it's a Christmas tradition in some countries to put the elf hats with the ears on them on the buckys. I even purchase some halloween props and costumes to give the grandkids for Christmas presents. :)

For 3 years now I keep saying I'm going to make a cemetery fence, lol
but haven't yet.Guess I'll buy a little each month till I get enough to do it for next year. I would like at least 3 reindeer in the stalls/pen and a couple of elves and Santa too.

Well if you're pushed for money as well as time, I'd suggest making a creepy old fence out of recycled pallets. You could also use them to make the stall, cheaply and quickly. Simply pull apart and put back together inside-out - you don't even need to be exact in the measurements, the messier the better! It'll make the cemetary fence look creepy and the stalls, weathered...

Haunter here too. Been doing Halloween for about 12 years, Christmas for about 7years. Now I am getting more serious. I am sure my husband is sorry to see this coming. He was always happy to see his garage floor again after Halloween. Now I guess the Honda has to sit in the driveway another month.

I think a better question would be...who here doesn't do halloween?
Slim to none at this point, I would guess...but sooner or later, we may be outnumbered!

I decorate heavily on Halloween, but my Christmas stuff is gaining ground. I never Cross-Holidays, so you'll never see cobwebs on my tree, or Dr Frankenstein's castle under my tree in place of my manger. It's pretty exciting to come up with new ideas for each holiday. Inflatables are not welcome. My Christmas decorations are simple, with a classic look.

Just as a joke I crossed the Holidays once. Put a corpse in the window with a Santa hat on. Used a red tree skirt over it's shoulders for a suit. Moved the corpse to give room for the tree. LOL
I'm in the same boat with ya Santa Kong. I like seeing inflatables in other folks yards but don't want any myself.
Sickie Ickie

I'm guilty of inflates. But they have to be able to take the weight of snow without looking crappy.
Tatiana
11-18-2008, 11:24 PM
Inflatables wouldn't last around here..the kids would poke a hole in it to see if it flew!

Although the rest of my family, my husband in particular, are only Christmas fanatics.
My husband was even buying Christmas items before Halloween.
