The Christmas Card Exchange

As some of you may know over on Halloweenforum we did a Halloween card exchange this year and as those of you who were involved will know it went down a treat.

So as some have mentioned it'd be good to do Christmas card exchange. It's been mentioned on HF but i figured it should be mentioned here so everyone knows about it and has a chance to participate.

Joining in is simple, if you'd like to send and receive christmas cards throughout December then just reply to the thread saying so. Then you can choose as little or as many of the willing participants to private message, exchange addresses, and then send out cards. Store bought or hand made.

It's really fun and not expensive in the slightest, even for international cards, which can be sent for under a dollar.

no sir,anyone can participate,whoever we wanted to exchange with we sent a pm and sent our address to that person,it was quite fun recieving a card as well as sending one.

Okay, there has to be a better way than sending individual pms. Is someone interested in starting a spreadsheet of addresses for those people who are interested in exchanges?

That way, people can send their pm to the spreadsheet creator, and after a given amount of time, they just receive one e-mail back with participating addys on them.

Would a cut off date of November 23 work for everyone?

I've been so busy the past week or so i haven't had chance to sit down at the computer for more than a couple mins, so it's good to see it's taking hold without me.

Over at HF people seemed to get the idea that this was a separate one from theirs and didn't want to do both.

That wasn't my intention, i was just trying to involve as many people in one big one. But to keep things simple for myself i think i'll just stick to it on here.

Hi All,
I just got back from a week in Newfoundland, so today's the first day I've been back on line. I'm glad you like your cards. I've received a few, and I've hung them over the arch to my barely decorated living room.... too much to do... not enough time...

Hmm would a Christmas tree without lights be so bad? ... I put the tree up the other night, but I havn'r started to decorate it yet... I'm dreading stringing the lights. 2 of my 3 Christmas villages are up... and the rest of the decorating is going to be done on the weekend...as well as the baking, the christmas shopping and the passing out from exaustion.

The only saving grace will be that the city busses went on strike today... so hopefully that will mean that the stores won't be as busy on the weeken. I'm glad I have a car.
