I know that feeling, I had that same problem on one part of mine. I must have re-done it 10 times before I said "this will have to do" I did take a 3 day break from it tho, that helped. I'm onto the wrapping stage! Wooo hooo!

I still have my heart set on underwear. Nothing says 'it came form the heart' like new underwear. LOL It should be close to completion tonight. I'll make a new part. Me thinks me project is coming together. I was wondering though, what if it isn't worth the $15 to $20 I put into it when it's done? Hope whoever gets this is into modern art. I was having a yard sale today. Some people can be quite kooky when it comes to yard sales, being agressive and rude. Needless to say my day was going quite crummy (to say the least) when at 11am this morning, and unusually early, the Postman arrives at my door with a package for me. I didn't order anything and I had already recieved my SS gift, I didn't know what it was. when to my surprise it was a gift from my SS person. they had forgotten to put it in the box with the other items and decided to ship it seperately. Well, did that just make my day!!!! it was such a wonderful surprise!! I can't wait untill Christmas when I can display all the wonderful decorations I recieved. it will most definately put a smile on my face when I see them.

I'm done! I'm done! I'm done! I'm done! I'm done! and did I mention? I'm DONE!!! LOL Gona have to tape a few boxes together to get this thing out the door. I've used aluminum foil, PVC, wood, metal objects and styrofoam! Three types of glue and enough nails and screws to put together a small deck. Even half a used sock. Washed first. LOL I'll also send some garland so the folks that get it can wrap it up and make it more Christmasy.

Finally got the boxes duck taped together and into one even bigger box. There's enough bubble wrap in there to keep an entire 3rd grade classroom happy for a good hour. Guys I'm really sorry, honest.......but I'm not going to be able to send my package till Monday. For 3 weeks now I been trying to find a Xmas store down here & I can't believe it but I can't find anything.

I found a place south of Charlotte that was suppose to be xmas store but when I got there they only had a small corner of dept 56 buildings or little santa fairies that were $60.00. The rest of the place was pools & deck furniture. Jer & I ran in there together & left the candy wagon outside running so the orders would not melt. Guess what...we locked ourselves out of the truck. So an hour later & $95.00 we were on our way. We were suppose to meet a lady to give her her order but then we were late for that so we had to drive to ......well it was a ways!!!lol

I finally saw a store that was a xmas store so we pulled a huey & the darn place was closed till fall. And they say us Irish have such good luck!!lol

So Elvira, since I am going to be late with this, and yes I only waited till the last minute because I knew I was going to Charlotte w/ those sample bags & I had planned on picking something up at this shop, what do I do? Should I tell on the board who my SS is or PM them or is this good enough notice that it will be coming late?

I'm sorry guys.......this is been a bad month for me....I had that colonoscopy the other day & everything that could go wrong did......so Monday they are back in my butt. I have to go get another procedure done. I've had 6 doctors appts. in 2 weeks. Not trying to make excuses here cause usually I'm really on the ball.

Mine sent me a beautifully carved Santa with robe and presents in front of him. It matched and exceeded the $200 one I found not long ago.

Greetings My Dear Friends,

Here comes the apologies again......Jerry just walked out the door with my Secret Santa gift & is on his way to UPS. Things went very bad at the hospital Monday & I spent 2 days in bed....finally got down here this morning with him to get this Merry Christmas package on its way!They already called this morning to come in tomorrow for another set of lab work.....I told them to forget it....no more doctors this week. I swear if another one pokes, prodes or sticks anything else inside me ....I'm gonna eat their head off & stick them in my front yard for Halloween!!!lol

I apologize to the recipient getting this package for it being so late....in order to make amends I sent an extra something along.........not gonna say what it is but I just hope it does not melt!!lol


I would also like to announce that my gift arrived yesterday & the guys just gave it to me this morning.(what idiots!lol) They said you were asleep the whole day yesterday & we did not want to disturb you! Man oh man!

So I just want to thank the person that I got my gift from.It was wrapped so beautifully & came with a wonderful card! I have hundreds of decorations but I am thrilled to death with this gift because I have nothing as wonderful as this! I was so surprised because its just beautiful!! I did not expect something this grand! And trust me with the way my issues with my health have been going this was a real "pick-me-up"! Thank You so very much to my Secret Santa & I apologize to all of you for being so behind here with getting my gift sent!

The box was actually damaged when I got it, so I hope nothing is missing or broken. If I don't have it set up right, please let me know. I didn't find a string anywhere. Seems how there was a hole in the box from USPS mishandling, I wouldn't be surprised if something was missing or broken. She is definitely chattering (just like your poem says. Oh, I'll have to post the poem.) and the box has something moving around inside of it. Almost want to open the package to figure out what it is, but I won't! That's part of the display!

Oh yeah, just to let you all know (sorry for posting again!) my dogs FREAKED OUT!! The two oldest weren't too bad, the oldest actually tried to confiscate Squeek but I got him back! The youngest growled and barked at the doll. I put everything on top of the table so they couldn't get to it and he (Linus, the youngest) just sat there and stared at her. When I left for work this morning he was still sitting there!

Thank you Nanc, for someone that sucks at sewing I take that as a huge compliment! LOL The Elf with Sickie's pic on it cracked me up, I loved it when it was done! The names were embroidered by my neighbor, she has a nice machine that does all the work, so was convienent to have it done. Soon as I had the stocking cut out I ran over and she did it in a few minutes. I then sewed it up, and wa la! :)

Nanc - Its a great inexpensive gift, especially if you have a few to buy for. Doesn't take long to cut out and assemble, I did have a bit of a problem with whip stitching, LOL but that should be a breeze for someone that knows what they are doing.

Putrid - thats a battery operated engraving tool...thought it might be handy for tombstones or whatever, since sickie does halloween as well.

By the way I forgot to add. The item I got off of Ebay is the teddy bear. LOL The PVC is the clay used to sculpt the face and mittens.( A sewer pipe Santa. )The aluminum foil is shaped for the head. Part of the old sock is then placed over the crumpled foil, before the face is wired on, then the hair is glued to the sock. So I wasn't lien when I said I used PVC, aluminum foil and an old sock. LOL

Thanks folks. Elvira, the hair and bread is made from combed out yarn. Nancj, he's about 18 inches tall. The colors are Sickie Ickies idea. He's the light green guy. JK LOL Dude, first green Santa I've ever made.

I'm going to have to wait till I get the new computer before I can do a how to on the face. I should be able to access the free sites form Earthlink. Netscape Navigator acted like a virus when I deleted it. It's left active programming in the registry and really messes with this computer. It's even made it hard to start up. Interferes with everything on the web. Most of the time it interferes with me when I go from page to page on this site. Takes me up to 15 minuets to upload pictures. I'll never download that browser again.
I've taken 50+ shots of doing the face alone. It'd take up all the picture space I have on this site and I still wouldn't get it all on. As it is I'm quickly running out of room now. Already deleted some shots. Not my ducks though. I like my ducks. LOL

here is what Lacey made me, a Santa's "wash" tree, with little pants, coats and hats, and small clothes pins and wash boards. Very cute idea!!
I will remake the ornaments I made Nancj, and take pics and make instructions, for the santa's projects, I don't know if the hatbox andangel will work ofr the santa's projects, but will see if I can figure it out. I also have a easy snow man to put on there.

I just loved this when it arrived cause I have nothing like it in my collection! I always tell people I am the easiest person to buy for for Xmas cause you can get me anything from an ornament to a Xmas village house & I will love it and I do love this!

I was so excited when I unwrapped it! Its truly a beautiful gift! I photoed each side so you can see all the cute things it has on it. Its my Santa in the Box! Thank You Nancj!

Thanks, it was fun to build. If you remember, one of my clues was a head in a box. I wasn't joking:)
It also plays music, though I can't remember if it's We Wish You a Merry Christmas, or Santa Claus is Comming to Town.

Looks like Mummy is having trouble posting her pictures so I thought I would help out by posting what I sent her! There was a large hanging Santa plack, a 3pc. gingerbread train full of small gingerbread people, 2 ornaments for each of the girls one was a santa & the other an angel. I sent along a goodie package also it included a box of our "Bodacious Bark" in the flavor of white chocolate oreo mint cookie, a box of "Heavenly Caramels", chocolate & orange caramel, a small box of "Caramel Nougats", a christmas small old time milk canister filled with "Honey Whites",our honey roasted peanut clusters, a small christmas mailbox filled with 3 - 3pc. assorted chocolates and 2 "Carolina Patties", which are our large turtles.

Was really glad to hear she got her gift on Friday so the candy should have made it there alright. Hope her little ones enjoyed the candy!

Thanks for the compliments Mistress Muffy. Glad you liked the site. I'm happy that I've finally been able to contribute to Sickie Ickie's SantaProjects site. Try making one. You'll like it! It's really easy. Do a few practice faces and you'll be on your way. I still wont post the first few I made. I keep em around as a reminder what a little practice and perseverance can do. If Santa was a Halloween project these first few faces would work just fine. LOL
