It's that time of year again, when we can all have a fresh new start to a new year. A time to start new resolutions or try to keep up with the old ones.
Cleaning out the closets for me was never quite accomplished this past year, so this year I will try to incorporate a little more recycling into my life. going to try going green this year.
What are some of your resolutions for 2008!

Apart from the regular (lose weight), mine is to get more organized. With time, money, house, etc.
Maybe I should narrow that down a bit?!

Mine is to try to narrow my vision of what props to make. I'm always having bright ideas, so I save EVERYTHING and the house is a mess because of it, and things don't get finished. This year, strive towards my vision of a scene.

How close are you to finishing your degree, Warrant?

Pretty close, but I'm on my 20th year of my 2-year degree, so it's been a work in progress. I have just one math class left, but there's a problem...math doesn't like me.

What are ya taking.

I just need College Algebra. When I took the placement test, I did so bad (haven't done math in 25 years) that I would have been in a remedial class on Saturdays for no credit. That didn't work with my schedule and timeline, so I took other classes. In the meantime, I got an Algebra book from a bookstore and taught myself College Algebra so I could get a better score on the placement, and get into a credit-granting class.
I spent 3 months (earlier this year) doing nothing but studying that book and figuring things out. When I went back in to take the placement test, I did so well, they were going to put me in an advanced class. No thanks, I said, I just need enough to get credits.
So now that the holidays are winding down, I'll be shuffling back to class. I just hope I remember how to do it all...

You'll do fine, W. Just remember to build a friend or two in the same class, so you'll have questions to ask them on the the way to and from class.

I never make resolutions, therefore I am never disappointed in myself. I always try to better my life one day at a time, one idea at a time, one Halloween prop at a time, one meal at a time, etc. You just do what you can do, and try to do it well.

I usually don't do well with resolutions, but this year have things I need to work on/deal with, so need to "resolve " to do them, get healthier, and exercise, lose weight, the standard, but I also really need to get organized, clean out the basement and get the rest of the house squared away. I really need to get on the ball with these things.

To forget all my past resolutions. LOL To win a lottery so I can fulfill my high school career day goal. "To become a professional bum." Nothing's says Pro Bum like being able to spend millions of other people's money. LOL

Last year I finally got the lose weight thing down. I lost 10 pounds and have kept it off. I'd like to lose another 5, so I'll work on that. This year I just want to get organized! I hate living in chaos! Hubby and I started to do some serious cleaning out this weekend. I have so much stuff to take to Goodwill.

I need to exercise more. I'm quite a couch potato. Hopefully some of the exercise will involve cleaning out our storage room.

I make the same resolutions every year:
1. Lose the winter weight starting on Jan. 2 (I've accomplished that)
2. Try to be more patient and understanding (was good on this until January 3)
3. Smile more!

I've lost the 5 pounds, but I'm still trying to get organized. I'm doing better than what I have been, though. So at least I've made progress.

So here's my resolutions for 2012.
Forger about loosing weight. Be happy the way I am.
Use cupons. really save more and live better.
Finish most of the projects I've started and hit brick walls with. I've given up on flocking. Have new leads on paining on glass. Going to look for more user friendly techniques for some of paper mache' projects. No more boiling newspaper. That stinks. LOL
Post how-to's for projects AFTER I know they'll work. LOL No more dead ends.

well, I have a few resolutions,,, who knows how I will follow thru.... but here goes
get healthy, eat healthy and exercise more,,, that falls under one,,,,
get the house organized and cleaned out of stuff we don;t need, that part will be hard, hubby is a real pack rat, even more than me,,,,
read my Bible more, and get back into a church, I was much happier when I was going and when I read the word and tried hard to apply it to my life,,,,
for what they are worth,, there they are in print, so can't take them back,,,
