Tree Skirt and Tree

Three years ago, I bought fabric to make stockings and a matching tree skirt. I promptly made the stockings and the rest of the fabric has sat ever since...

Until two days ago. My husband urged me to NOT procrastinate this year and get it done! (OK, it was something more like "Why don't make something USEFUL for a change and finally make that skirt?") :rolleyes:

I am normally a silver kind of person, but I can't help but notice that around Christmas, I just can't resist red and gold together - it is just so pretty. And I bet your stuff turned out a lot nicer and cheaper than some of the stuff they are selling in stores...
