I was googling pictures of Santa to get some idea how I want to sculpt mine when I do him and I came across this interesting Fact.

Its about how Santa got his face

I'm glad he did. In volleybal I used to get de-faced, but he'd look plain funny without one. :p

That's interesting, Binky. I love the Norman Rocwell pictures of him. Actually the coke ones too- they remind me of how I invisioned him as a child. Also the first description of him was the story of the night before Christmas, the guy who wrote that (can't remember off the top of my head) wrote it for his children for Christmas.

Clement Clark Moore. The artist for the Coca-Cola Santas was Haddon Sundblom, who also did pin-up art.

Hmmm... imagine the possibilities... Santa with a pin-up girl (Santa's Helper, maybe) on his arm...?

I'm so glad you liked the Night Before Christmas Story.. I know what you mean about thinking of the way Santa looks to everyone. Funny thing Santa looks so many different ways across the world.. Mine was German style Old World as Some People Call it..

Yep. I remember seeing a fascinating book when I was younger of Santa across the world, and how each culture gave Santa his own traits and own look.
