My Decorations 2010

This is my attempt to turn our home into a gingerbread house. Our house is already the color, so I just wanted to add accents to it.
I started back in 2008 with just a few pieces that I made and painted. 2009 we went out of town so I skipped a year. But this year it was back on. Some of the stuff I had made needed repainting and I had to paint new stuff.

I also wanted chocolates and remembered these. I had bought these and never used them. So I cut them up and painted them :)

And then used them along with the orange slice idea I got from Warrant. Used caulk as icing and place magnets on the back to stick to the garage door.

The candy cane sticks I made as well. The scale looks off maybe, but my girls love them, so they are staying :)

This is the house. I need to figure out the lighting. I stink at that. I'm thinking next year new lights for the house. May get some red and green, not sure. The tires are cut in half and paint to resemble lifesaver halves. I found that idea years ago and can't remmember where. I tried looking for it but couldn't find it. But it's not mine...LOL

I would like to put these along the eaves of the house without adding a whole strip of wood from one icing drift to another. I have a few ideas. Hopefully one will work...:)
