I will have to say that Christmas music done with Celtic flair is the best or even to a dulcimer.....Plus I wanted to be the first to post a subject here!

While I have a pretty big Christmas collection, more than half is things such as Twisted Christmas and Dr. Dementos Christmas Classics. I have plenty of traditional too, but Christmas should be fun.

I have a ton of Christmas CDs also (between these and my Halloween ones I'm runnin' out of space) and favor the crooners like Sinatra, Bing, Dean as well as the novelty stuff like Spike Jones. My favorite mix CDs for the past few years have been the Ultra Lounge Christmas Cocktails discs - they have some great crazy stuff from the '50s and '60s. My wife favors more orchestral and 'classic' versions of the holiday tunes.

Just checked my iTunes Xmas playlist - I have 924 songs - 2.1 days of music - loaded on my Mac. So, yeah, I love all kinds of Christmas music from Bendictine chants to The Chieftains, Frank Sinatra to Barenaked Ladies and Cyndi Lauper.

We have Mercy Me's CD "The Christmas Sessions" that we listen to every year. They're a christian band, but they're really good!

We also have a mixed tape that we listen to.

I love the Jazz I have been buying from iTunes store this time of year. A wide mix of Wynton Marsalis, Louis Armstrong, Etta James and many others. It's non-traditional but light and cheery while making an old familiar carol interesting again.

Also, I am collecting many of the things my parents had in the house in the 60s. Perry Como and Mitch Miller, Fercy Faith of course.

I have 554 Christmas songs I loaded up today. Every year the list grows. This year I am looking for old radio shows, OTR, broadcasts of Christmas features and news from years past, etc.
