Got the tree started. All the lights and garland on. Got a 6 ft tree that's 4 ft wide at the base. 400 white chasers on the inside. 300 multi minis all with reflectors. 3 strands of C7's with bubble lights, ice globe lights and pink, purple and yellow old C7's in the mix. Yep, it's bright. LOL

The rest of the room is still a mess. LOL Going to have 4 trees and the pine cone tree. Plus I plan on setting up some of the smaller blow molds as well.

That looks nice pretty P. Reminds me of when I was small and used to sit in my father's chair n the living room when the lights were turned out and people went to bed, just to star at the lit tree with fading lights. So peaceful....

Aw, that's beautiful! The lit garland along the top of the walls is a very nice touch, too.

I used to do the same thing, Sickie! When I was still really little, I'd sometimes sneak down to the living room after everyone else had gone to sleep (or so I though) and plug in the lights, though I was found out more often than not as I recall.

Great tree Putrid! Love the lights, very colorful!

I also love the garland around the ceiling. Very nice touch!

Beautiful picture, we have not yet owned a house with a living room that had a front window we could put our tree in. Our living rooms have always been in the back.

Very nice tree, Putrid. That's probably the most lights I've ever seen on a tree that size!
Looks great!

Thanks everyone. There is one drawback to putting that many lights on the tree. I have less places to put the ornaments. LOL I've sorted the ornaments to go on three different trees. One has all the Santa ornaments. One will have all the birds, flowers and houses and the main tree will have the rest. I don't have as many birds as I did before the divorce. Guess that'll be my next hunt item over the summer.

Actually I didn't start out to wanting to put that C7's on. I kept running out of strand when I got to the last 6 inches of the top. I must of re wrapped it 4 or 5 times before I gave in and added a third stand. That's an extra 25 C7 lights to cover 6 inches of tree. LOL All the lights that didn't fit around the tree are draped around the window side. Don't think I have room for any ornaments back there.

We use the C7s as well, but we keep them sort of sparse. Kinda like the old days.

Rybcon, I've got a few of the old green and red wire C7's strands. They have a bit more space between the bulbs than the newer strands do. However I don't use them for safety reasons.

I can't believe it's this late in the season and I'm still not done on the inside. Don't thing I'll go as overboard as I have in the past. Don't have the time to. Still got a long list of things to go but here's where I am now.

http://www.christmasfanclub.com/picture.php?albumid=110&pictureid=1273

Still have a few more boxes to go threw. LOL

Decided to do something different this year. Sorted some of the ornaments out to go between three trees. The first pic is the new kitchen tree. The tree itself is actually the top half of Treezilla. The 9+ ft tree I got for free off of Craigs list. Second pic is the Santa tree. It's the top part of another large tree I also got for free off of Craigs list.

I'll try to get a daylight pic of the kitchen tree soon.

This tree has all the glass and plastic Santa ornaments except one. The lights are two Santa lights strands of minis.

beautiful trees Putrid!!
I still love to sit , just me, in the living room , with just the tree on for lights, and just stare at it, it is so peaceful.
memories for me is seeing the tree at night, not lit, no one around, just the moon shining in the room, I remember getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and peek at the tree- to see if santa had come yet, and seeing the tree shimmer,we of course used icicles by the ton,it just seemed magical to me!

Beautiful trees! The living room tree is so fun with all the lights on it. Good thing you moved the nativity outside. Your other trees are beautiful also. My favorite thing is squinting up my eyes to look at the tree lights after everyone has gone to bed and all is quiet.

Thanks everyone for the comps.

Cinders, yep, looks much better with out the draped coffin in the living room. LOL

Bethene, I light the room with just the tree too. I also like to have just the lights in the garland next to the ceiling on. Give a warm glow to everything in the room. When there's a bright moon to the east is shines threw that window. Nothing like moon light on a Christmas tree.

This will be the last year for that tree. The tree has long needles. Makes for a good bushy tree but not good for covering it with ornaments. Short needle trees are better for that. I'm also in need something taller cuz I still have ornaments with no place to go. LOL I've got enough left for 2 trees. I'll come up with something over the summer.

Definitely not going to go overboard with the evergreen garland this year. Sherwood forest was a nice look but I've got to tone it back a bit. Still going to use the stuff. But not on everything. LOL

I know i've talked about having the tree on a switchable unit before. All I have to do is flip a few switches and get different looks. Figured I'd take some shots of the tree. Ya'll have already seen it with all the lights on.

Fist shot is just the mini whites. These are chasers placed inside the tree. Gives great shadows and makes the tree look frosty. Looks better in real life than in the pic.

http://www.christmasfanclub.com/picture.php?albumid=110&pictureid=1281

PIc of just the multi minis. These all have reflectors on them. The reflectors tone the color down just a bit.

http://www.christmasfanclub.com/picture.php?albumid=110&pictureid=1280

This is a shot of the multi minis and whites.

http://www.christmasfanclub.com/picture.php?albumid=110&pictureid=1279

Next is just the C7's.

http://www.christmasfanclub.com/picture.php?albumid=110&pictureid=1278

Last pic is the C7's with the white minis. The C7's drown out the whites in the camera. Looks a lot frostier in real life.

http://www.christmasfanclub.com/picture.php?albumid=110&pictureid=1277

The only pics that I can't take are the top lit only and all the lights off.

That could be a good pick up line: Wanna come back to my place and see my tree with all the lights off? LOL

Neat idea to do your tree in a variety of ways. So far you are the only person I've known to do that.

Thanks again everyone for the comps.

A few more shots. This first is the indoor blow mold display and fake feather tree.

Next is the top of the buffet.

A lot of stuff I'm not using this year. Kinda trying to tone it down a bit.

Very nice decorating!

Looks really nice, Putrid. I'd love to take a tour of your house!

putrid

Thanks again everyone.

It'd be a real quick tour EnlightenedGrinch. Walk around the front yard a bit being careful not to step in Dottie's biproducts. Then because the living room and kitchen are all one room kinda walk around that and your done. LOL

Bottle brush trees... Didn't know that's what they are called but I like it!

Great job on the Buffet! Is everything on it edible? LOL

You did a wonderful job Putrid! (I LOVE seeing the $20 prop contest entry on the table as well! You worked so hard on that! Glad to see pics of it put to such good use!)

Messed with the settings on the camera. Man I wish I would have played with this sooner. Here's a shot of the shadows made by the white minis inside the tree.

http://www.christmasfanclub.com/picture.php?albumid=110&pictureid=1388

You can even make out some of the on the wall next to the TV. Gotta remember these settings for next years shots!

This next one is a shot of the tree that i brought inside and decked. The pic is the mods i made to the camera. The thumbnail below is the same shot before the mods. You can really see the way the lights play off the paint in this shot.

Looking forward to seeing pics of your house in the sun soon Theedwin.

Thanks everyone. Really digging the camera mods I did. Getting a lot of color and detail I've never been able to get before. Wish I'd of played around with it before I took the outdoor display down.

EnlightenedGrinch. The shadows are way better when both sets of chasers are going at different speeds. Really throws some cool shadows all over the room.
