Ha, ha, I had to run downstairs and take this video of the pond behind our office building. The ducks just stand there with their heads under their wings, you'd think they'd huddle up or something. Anyway, this is exciting stuff for us Southeast Texans. If it comes down any harder, I will replace this video.
Uh oh... it is coming down harder now, I have to go video.

Hopefully you guys will get a good covering. I grew up in Tennessee and Mississippi and didn't see much snow until I moved here to Utah, so I can definitely understand what a special feeling you get when you actually see it when you're not used to it.

Brings back childhood memories of growing up in Brooklyn.
I just got a picture of one of the black ducks with snow on his back. I am going to keep that one on my computer so I can look at it next July.

I miss the snow, but not the cold! It has been dipping below freezing here the last couple of days. It also snowed here last year. I hope it snows again! :D If it gets cold enough, I may as well have something nice to look at.

Ha, ha, that is an apartment complex. Our office building shares the lake with them, we have a 1/4 mile jogging path around it, which is my exercise vehicle when the weather is nice, ie. not 98 degrees, raining, or snowing in this case. It's going up to the 70's this week and miserable rain today.

What a beautiful area to work in! I certainly remember the magical novelty of snowfall - no matter how light or heavy - from when I was growing up in southern California. I think it snowed once in Temecula when my family was there, and even though it barely accumulated all the kids on the street freaked and made snow angels and tiny snowmen from the maybe quarter-inch of snow lol. This being my 7th Montana winter, I would be more than happy to send you some of our snow. I wouldn't be cruel enough to send the pervasive sheet of ice over everything and our current -2 degree temperature (hey, it's warmed up a few degrees since I woke up!), though:). I hope everyone who was treated to rare white stuff got the chance to enjoy it. What a lovely way to usher in the season in warmer climates!:snowflake::snowflake::snowflake:
How much snow did you guys end up getting?

The Southwest area got accumulation on grass and cars. I live in the North/Northwest and we didn't have as much precipitation to make it snow as early as it did there, so we had no accumulation. When I drove home it was coming down pretty hard, so that was my first time driving in snow!
That night it went into the 20's and I woke up to a yard with frozen snowmen, the airblowns had ice on them and our roof was dusty white until the sun came up, then everything went back to soggy normal.
