Morning all...and morning to all newcommers! Geez, one little email from Larry, and now we have exponentially grown! Larry has magic fingers! It's great....
I have a cold...but in good spirits, perhaps b/c I have been on and off this site through my sniffy haze. Just worried about getting it all done before Thanksgiving. Should I beg off and ask someone else to host? Hmmm.
Hope everyone is doing well, and has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

You're supposed to lie and say that you get more sleep than ever when you have kids. I like being lied to about these things. I've convinced my MIL that babies are tiny when they come out and then blow up immediately after. I mean, that seems right doesn't it?

LOL rose! Ummmm....your totally right! No wonder it was so freakin' easy for my two!
Spook -- I do want to, but don't too. You know? Tried to ask mom w/o asking, but she didn't bite :( Guess it's time to pull myselp up off the couch and go to the grocery store.

Oh, see, that is just wrong SantaPaws!
True Story....
I was a very preg. and homonal woman in a local mall watching the teenage girls in skimpy clothes, and the teenage boys that followed, while my hubby was in a store. Got me thinking about how I was having a girl and how fate would truly come back to haunt me. Broke down right then and there -- full fledged crying attack like no other.
Husband came out and was like "it will be okay..." but I was a wreck! My sister says, "that's why god gives you babies, so you work up to it!" Watching my 5 year old turn into a teen (yes, already:eek:) is so scary!
So rose...I'll be your best friend if you be mine! It's not really lying....;)

I think not. I have heard parents say this before and my step kids are no different. I can hear it in my head. "You screwd my life up mom. I hate you I hate you I hate you!"

Oh, I totally believe it. And I know my kids will do it too, as all do. :(

Children in general are a joy while they are growing and running around stepping on your toes. Then they hit puberty and get dumb again. They will continue to become dumber until about mid 20's when they realize that you were not as stupid as they thought, it was them. And if your parenting skills are good enough, they will not step on your heart and become Oakland Raiders fans.
Good Luck... Hope you do better than I did.

Sure, they are curteous and listen to everything you say as a parent, so they can obey your every wish. :D

I have no disrespect for the Bears or Cubs, but being a 49ers fan and having both my sons be Raiders fans, it's like a stake through my heart.
They both think it's funny... wait till they read my will!

I know you are supposed to root for the home team - and I go to a couple of games every season so I guess that would technically make me a falcons fan. But really I like Greenbay. :)

shopping? Brave soul! I was going to, but my eldest got a fever that came out of no where -- just before Thanksgiving. She was a mess when my parents got here before the meal -- temp of almost 103. And it gets worse at night, so I didn't want to risk leaving in the middle of the night/early morning, and have her wake up screaming for me. She seems to be getting better now, but between a cold, asthma, and the fever, this little girl has been through the ringer the past week. Has big dark circles under her eyes. But, on the up side, I haven't been cuddled like this for a few months, so....
Anywho...have a great weekend everyone. Enjoy your cyber shopping too!

Thanks, guys...she is better. Still coughing, but the temp seems to be staying under 100. I get so nervous with her b/c she had to stay in the hospital for a few days about 2 years ago for a similar virus. Nervous nelly. But she seems much better, thanks for checking. :)

Mummy- glad your little one is doing better. When they have asthma, those kinds of colds- viris things are always worse. It can get scarey. It's understandable to be a nervous nelly!

Hello all. Did everyone get their tree up yet?
Well, sort of. We won't be home for Christmas so we bought a tiny pre-lighted tree at Michaels to take with us on the cruise ship. It's plugged in now at home so does that qualify?
Mummy deer-est
11-26-2007, 07:47 AM
Nope, still debating where to put it. Or to convince hubby that since we have a bigger house, we now need two trees! :)

Sorry to switch the subject, ya'll....but I am so sad...
Sean Taylor, one of my Redskins, was shot and I just heard that he passed. I guess it gets me b/c he has a one year old and everyone was saying how much he had grown since having her. No one is safe from things like this. :(

Somewhere there's a tree dedicated entirely to him..
