Don't really have the pictures for this, but it was a quick idea for last year (the ONLY new thing I did). The great thing about this is 2 minutes
to put it up each year once it's done.
Parts: Spare string of lights (long enough to go around your frame)
PVC pipe and connectors (two tee, 4 90 degree elbows)
RED Duct tape
Cut your pvc pipe to correct lenghts for top/bottom of window (make one more for the middle of the window for strength)
and then for the sides (four pieces).

Something like that...
Put one side (top or bottom) together along with one side piece. Start wrapping the duct tape around the pipe, while
putting the lights on the back side of the frame.
Takes some patience ... and maybe a third hand!
Here is what it may look like (hopefully your's will come out more even than mine!)...

During the day time you see the frame (and the lights if they are on)...dusk both the lights and the frame, night time, just the lights (unless you spot the window). I only have the one window...if you have a bunch of windows, this will make it easier to do them all quickly. I made this so it fits into the frame of the window tight so I don't have to do any kind of tie-down. If you windows are different, you could easily add some type of tie-down to this.
