I have been searching here for awhile trying to find the thread where we were talking about the Santa from "Collections Etc.". Can't remember which one of you brought that up.

I just wanted to thank you for giving us that link. I have been searching for one of those 1/2 Xmas trees that goes on the wall. Last year Lowes had them for $79.00 & I did not buy one. So this year I went to Lowes and they are not selling them. The ones they have on the floor decorated are just for decorations in the store & not for sale. Collections Etc. has 4ft. one for 20 bucks!! Yipee!

Hey there were some great items in there so I got the tree, the Santa, one of those throws that is all red w/ a white furry trim & has a pillow that goes with it that has santa's belt around it, also I had my eye on a penguin carpet & found it with these people for $7.00 cheaper!

So thanks to whoever gave us that link!!

I did a half tree years ago. We had a mirrored wall in the living room and also had a fake tree. I just put all the limbs on one side of the tree by drilling extra holes and then modified the stand to fit up against the mirrored wall. The effect was a very full tree that used half the lights, half the ornaments, and took up half as much room.

Ya know......I have plenty of extra trees around here to do a project like that. I'm curious to see what kind of tree this will be since it was only $20.00. I needed it for the hallway and from what I have seen of the ones done up & decorated....they looked pretty nice to me! Got a picture of yours by any chance?

Sorry, no pics, that was many many years ago. It was one of the older style trees that had a wood dowel for the trunk and the limbs were twisted wire that fit into holes in the trunk.

Sounds like a nice project to do with a dowel and branches from an old worn out tree. kinda like giving new life to it.
