Or fast becoming it...

I like this idea - even if Christmas drives me bonkers...I still decorate for it (albeit, I've been known to give a bit more of an abrasive twist to my decor...but what's an evil grin or two among friends, eh?)

Hope I'm second in posting here!!

Christmas and Halloween at the moment.

But you never know. :D

Even if we all get bonkers, we can share our experieces to make it less crazy.

has anyone else decorated or made props for any themed parties? I really enjoy doing those also...my kitchen was once turned into a jungle, my deck was once turned into tropic island, by yard has been turned into a pirate zone, my basement was once a winterwonderland, I've had numberous other parties. But besides Halloween and Christmas and my themed parties I really don't decorate much for anything else.

It was for my sons 7th b-day:) it was quite an underwater scene.

Thanks Mummy, Though I wouldn't do it again any time soon. My sister and I were up till 3am making all those jelly fish, by the end of the night I really did think I was under the sea:)

Tissue paper. We used the underside of a bowl, formed tissue paper on top of it and scrunched up the bottom of the paper, taped the ends to make a round shape, then taped curling ribbon on the inside to make the tenticles. then taped some fishing wire to the middle to hand them. Quite easy once we knew what the heck we were doing.

You didn't use anything on the tissue paper to hold the shape?

Nancj

No, it actually held pretty good on its own, it was extremely windy that day and they were out from morning till late night, and not one of them lost their shape.

So you just placed teh whole sheet over an upside down bowl and crumpled the edges beneath the bowl?

Right. then I taped two ends together as to hold their shape together better. its a lot easier then it seems. (so, when are you planning to have your sons spongebob party?):D
